As the warming procedes, some areas on earth will experience temperatures warmer than any place on Earth is now. Similarly, there now are places as cold as none will be on the same hemisphere in the future. These are shown in the figure below (click for bigger version of the image).

Shaded red: Areas that in 2100 are warmer than any place on Earth is today – these areas disappear from the maps shown here.
Shaded blue: Areas that are so cold in 2000 as no place in their hemisphere will be in 2100 – these areas disappear from the maps shown here.
